Technical Description
Madagas Gas Solenoid Valve MV/4, MVD, MVD/5, MVDLE/5 is a single-stage automatic shut-off valve as per EN 161 for gas burners and gas appliance.
- Max. operating pressure up to 200, 360 or 500 mbar (20, 36 or 50 kPa)
- Normally closed
- MV, MVD: fast opening
- MVDLE: Slow opening with adjustable fast stroke for start gas volume
- Main volume adjustable (MVD/MVDLE)
- DC solenoid, rectifier wiring with radio interference suppression in terminal box with PG screw union
- Mountable closed position signal contact to monitor closed position of valve (.../5)
- Pipe thread as per ISO 7/1
- Flange connection as per DIN EN 1092-1
- Reliable function, rugged and mainte- nance-free
- On request, design without non-ferrous metals
Application
Madagas Gas Solenoid Valve is used for securing, limit- ing, shutting off and releasing gas supply to gas burners and gas appliances.
MV/4 Range of application: for large break- ing capacities, e.g. pulsed firing.
Madagas Gas Solenoid Valve MV... is suitable for gases of families 1, 2, 3 and other neutral gaseous media.

Gas solenoid valve is suitable for city gas, liquefied petroleum gas, natural gas and other gas for heating combustion medium pipeline to do two-position on-off switch, automatic temperature control of the actuator. It is widely used in textile industry, printing industry gas heat setting and glass, light bulb industry furnace heating and other industries gas heating automatic control system.Gas solenoid valve is a safety emergency cut off device of gas pipeline. It can be connected with gas leakage alarm system or with fire and other intelligent alarm control terminal module to realize on-site or remote automatic/ manual emergency cut off the gas source to ensure the safety of gas use. The valve closes automatically in the event of harmful strong vibration. The valve must be opened manually by manual intervention, to meet the safety management norms, in line with the characteristics of accident handling

Functional Description
Madagas Gas Solenoid Valve is an automatic shut-off valve operated with auxiliary power.
The electromagnetic drive opens againsttheforce of the closing spring4.
The stroke of armature 5 can be limited by the setting screw 8.
The hydraulic brake 10 permits slow opening. Fast stroke 9 can be ad- justed.
If the auxiliary power is interrupted (operating voltage), closing spring 4 closes the valve within 1 second.
The closed position of the valve can be monitored by a mountable closed position signal contact.

Rapid stroke adjustment V start
Factory setting MVDLE 205/5:Rapid stroke not adjusted
1. Unscrew the adjustment cap D from the hydraulic brake.
2. Invert the adjustment cap and use as a tool.
3. Turn anti-clockwise = increase rapid stroke (+).
Replacing hydraulic brake unit
1. Switch offff fi ring system.
2. Remove locking varnish from
countersunk screw A.
3. Unscrew countersunk screw A.
4. Unscrew socket head screw B.
5. Raise hydraulic brake C.
6. Exchange hydraulic brake C.
7. Screw in countersunk and socket head screw. Only tighten socket head screw so that hydraulic brake C can just be turned.
8. Coat countersunk screw A with locking varnish.
9. Leakage test: Pressure tap at sealing plug 2:
MVD 2 …pmax.= 200/360 mbar
MVD 5 …pmax. = 500 mbar
10. Perform functional test.
11. Switch on fi ring system.
